Life List
- Go skinny dipping
- Visit the Taj Mahal,
- Visit the Pyramids of Giza
- Visit the Great Wall of China
- Visit Machu Picchu
- Visit the Hagia Sophia
- Learn another language fluently
- Own property
- Pay off credit card debt (all of it… and never get in this situation again)
- Get published
- See a space shuttle launch in person (time is seriously running out on this one)
- Take the Orient Express (I’m thinking the Paris to Istanbul route)
- Hike to the bottom of the Grand Canyon and camp there.
- Go snorkeling again
- Live in another state, territory or country
- Read all the novels on the Modern Library List
- Read all the non-fiction works on the Modern Library List
- Take piano lessons
- Take guitar lessons
- Own a gown adorned with feathers.
- Wear feather adorned gown to a function worthy of a gown adorned with feathers.
- Get to my goal weight OR be comfortable at the weight my body seems to prefer.
- Have a kid
- Get my name in the trades.
- Have a well stocked wine and liquor cabinet
- Be able to make 5 standard cocktails (ones without their ingredients in their name…)
- Write a Young Adult novel
- Visit the U.S. States I’ve never been - [Alabama, Alaska, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, North Carolina, Ohio, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Vermont, West Virginia (I feel like a couple of these places are distinctly fly over/drive through places now that I’ve listed them… It’s a good thing Ohio has a MLB team, is all I’m saying.)]
- Go to the Kentucky Derby. Dressed decidedly “Derby.”
- Go camping
- Try 100 recipes that I’ve never made before |1. Peach Cobbler |
- Sell a script
- See every MLB team play a home game. | Arizona Diamondbacks || Los Angeles Dodgers | New York Yankees | Minnesota Twins |
- Take a cross country road trip.
- Finish the afghan I started 5 years ago.

I love life lists. I especially like to cross things off life lists. That’s why I put something I know I’m about to do in the near future at the top of the list bc I know I’ll cross it off soon. Sometimes I even put something I just did bc I can cross it off as I write it.
Anyway - whereabouts are you on this list now? And yes planning for it counts.

I like the idea of Life Lists and applaud anyone who makes one but for me, I don’t know. I’m still trying to figure me out. Or maybe me reading this gives me the kick in the ass that I need…
