Read to the boys every day. 

I went to the library on Monday and got Spike the Mixed Up Monster (hit),  When Dinosaurs Come With Everything (hit), Crankenstein (not a big hit), Click Clack Moo (probably the biggest hit), and Edwina The Dinosaur that Didn’t Know She Was Extinct (minor hit). Manny also pulled Harriet’s Had Enough off the shelf, which is a super sweet book that I love to read to the boys.

I finished Devil in the White City and wow, it is fascinating, creepy, and so well researched. Still reading The Girls, and just started Alexander Hamilton on audio (read by the same guy who read Devil in the White City, so that’s some nice synergy. I also have the book, which is good because it’s over 30 hours long and I have only 3 days left on my loan and can’t renew it, so I’ll have to go to the back of the line again.)

Reduce debt to 45% of credit available (the amount of debt I’m carrying is my biggest stressor)

Well, I got a new job and a promotion and a raise and I start tomorrow. So, hopefully that will help!

Get a mammogram

I just remade my appointment for my annual, so I can get my referral for my mammogram, but I couldn’t get in until May.  So this is at least progress.

Go to the gym 30 times (12/30)

I went to the gym today and yesterday I walked with the kids to the park, so I’m feeling pretty good about my weekend activity levels.

15 minutes of standing for every hour sitting at work

I read this Washington Post article on Monday about how long you should aim for standing at work.  Three things stood out to me (ha). 1. You should do a minimum of 30 minutes of moderate to intense activity 5 times a week. 2. You should stand at LEAST 2 hours for every 8 you’re sitting and work up to 4 hours for every 8. 3. After 30 minutes of sitting your metabolism slows NINETY percent. That last one, damn. No wonder it’s next to impossible to lose weight if you’re an office worker even if you’re only eating minimal calories.

Monday – 2 hours 15 minutes

Tuesday – 2 hours 15 minutes

Wednesday – 2 hours 18 minutes

Thursday – Nothing

Friday – Nothing

My foot started hurting Wednesday night and I wanted to rest it Thursday and Friday so I wouldn’t have issues going to the gym and it worked.

Floss every day

I missed Tuesday night because I was like, FLOSS IS NOT THE BOSS OF ME. Mature. Same on Friday night.

Eat vegetables one time a week (15/52)

Does lettuce on my hamburger count? I mean, I ate more veggies than that, but not much more.

Break phone addiction (phone off at 10pm at night and away when I’m not taking pictures or checking email at home)

I don’t know, guys. I might need to do more than just delete Facebook and Twitter off my phone. I might also need to delete all the Candy Crushes…
