Read to the boys every day. 

I went to the library to pick up my hold for the second book in The Raven Boys series and got some books for the boys. Moses liked the “lesson books” Llama Llama Time to Share and Llama Llama and the Bully Goat, or maybe he just liked that he figured out they were “lesson books.” We also got Dinosaurs in Disguise which was a hit because, duh, dinosaurs, Bread and Jam for Francis (not a hit) and You Can Do It, Bert!, which had Moses and Manny literally rolling on the floor laughing. We had dinner with our friend from Boston and he brought three darling books for the boys,  Leo: A Ghost Story, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to School, and Stuck. Ironically (?) that was the one night I couldn’t read to them because I was out at dinner while our lovely nanny had to try to get those rascals to bed.

I finished A Great and Terrible Beauty on audio, and started Rogue Lawyer by John Grisham and hated it so much I quit after about two hours of listening time. So I started and finished listening to Animal Farm (it’s a very quick listen) and started Ghettoside on audio. I also started book three of the Daughter of Smoke and Bone series, Dreams of Gods and Monsters, and I’m going to be so sad when I’m done with this trilogy. I’m also reading Born to Run by Bruce Springsteen (another digital item I learned how to check out from the library, woo!) on my phone when I’m trying to get Manny to sleep and really enjoying it. I’m not sure if he has a ghost writer, but it’s really well written and I like the style a lot.

Reduce debt to 45% of credit available (the amount of debt I’m carrying is my biggest stressor)

This is just going to sit here and mock me all year, isn’t it.

Oh, god, I didn’t make it once. I don’t have high hopes for next week either as I’m on call for Jury Duty.

Back to a morning spinach and fruit smoothie and added some protein powder in there to help it fill me up a bit. I also brought my lunch a couple of days and had protein in a lettuce wrap type deal.

Break phone addiction (phone off at 10pm at night and away when I’m not taking pictures or checking email at home)

I deleted Twitter and Facebook from my phone. That has TOTALLY made a difference in the way I use it.

Get acupuncture 5 times (1/5)

Nothing new to report.

Go on 10 dates with Seth (5/10)

Nothing solo, but we did go out with our friend Allan and it was lovely to have grown up time.

28. Voted in Special Election.

29. Called Sen. Harris to tell her the proposed budget cuts to Meals on Wheels and school lunches for children are unconscionable. (Agreeing with her.)

30. Called Congressman Lieu to express my support of him voting against the replacement for the Affordable Care Act. (3/23/17) [SO FUCKING GLAD IT WAS WITHDRAWN.]
