Week 21 of 52

Read to the boys every day. 

Every day except one late work night.  Dooby Dooby Moo has been the big favorite this week.

Still listening to Claire Dewitt and the City of the Dead which I’m still loving. Still reading The Girls, and still waiting for Alexander Hamilton to be available again.

Reduce debt to 45% of credit available (the amount of debt I’m carrying is my biggest stressor)

Oh guys, this year has been bad. I’m so stressed about money. Always.

Get a mammogram

I had to change my appointment, for two weeks from now.

Go to the gym 30 times (18/30)

I went on a week day! I’ve negotiated one day a week where I leave the house super early and Seth does the entire morning routine so I can go to the gym. It fucking sucks. I hate getting ready at the gym. I do, however, like getting my steps in so early in the day.

I also went on Saturday and Sunday and tried the eliptical machine. I used to love it and I forgot how fun it is, it seems like such a better work out than the treadmill. I feel like I’ll probably switch to it if I can make it to the gym three times a week.

15 minutes of standing for every hour sitting at work

I’m not sure how much I stood this week, I lost my post it, but I know it was about 6 hours total.

Floss every day

Missed a couple.

Eat vegetables one time a week (21/52)

Smoothie for breakfast, carrots for snack. So many carrots.

Break phone addiction (phone off at 10pm at night and away when I’m not taking pictures or checking email at home)

Get this, I talk on the phone on my way home to work to actual real life friends. How fucking weird is that?  I think that contact has helped me cut my twitter and Facebook exposure down to a minimum. And I don’t really miss it.

Get acupuncture 5 times (1/5)

Nothing new to report.

Go on 10 dates with Seth (6/10)

Nada.

Go away without the kids with Seth

Nope.

Week 20 of 52

Week 20! Wow, I’m kind of surprised how fast this year is going. It seems to slog right on by.

Read to the boys every day. 

I missed one day because of a late night at work. We went to the library on Saturday and got some new Rotten Ralph books. They delight the boys. I enjoy them as well. One was missing the last 1o pages, so Moses and I wrote a note to the librarian. I’ll try to upload it to Insta soon.

I’m in a major rut.  But I just started Claire Dewitt and the City of the Dead which I’m loving. Still reading The Girls, and had to put Alexander Hamilton on request again because, damn 29 hours is a long book.

Week 19 of 52

What a hellish week last week. Moses had a nasty stomach bug, Manny had a one day fever with hives and I had — stress. My OB changed up my meds on Friday in an effort to help with some stuff I’m going through and after crying for 15 minutes while sitting in a paper gown she recommended therapy and exercise.  She wrote my exercise prescription officially on a prescription pad, so I have to do it.

Read to the boys every day. 

Oh man, I miss the kids. With Moses sick and me working like a lunatic this fell off dramatically. I managed maybe two nights?

I had my annual exam and an appointment for a mammogram!

Mother’s Day I got 17k steps. I went to the gym AND we went on a hike at Will Rogers State Park. If you’re in the LA area, you should check this park out. Great hiking trails, beautiful grassy area to picnic or play frisbee and they have polo on the weekends!

Week 18 of 52

Read to the boys every day. 

The new job has had me working late a few days, so I missed a couple nights.  The big favorites this week were The Adventures of Beekle: The Unimaginary Friend and Last Stop on Market Street.

I finished Sharp Objects, it was slightly predictable, but still great. Still reading The Girls, and  Alexander Hamilton.

I remade my appointment for my annual, so I can get my referral for my mammogram, but I couldn’t get in until May.  So this is at least progress.

Nothing. For three weeks. I’m suffering from a really shitty cold that has landed in my lungs again and I have PTSD from last winter when I coughed for about 3 months straight. So I’m trying to rest.
